Hi!

I was wondering if there was any update or advice for dealing with the Mojave stuttering bug?

I have a few 15" MacBook Pros with the Pro Vega 20 video card that shipped with Mojave, so I'm hesitant to try and force a rollback to High Sierra. (I don't believe the Pro Vegas we're ever available during High Sierra, so they may not be recognized with the old OS)

I adjusted the images size and position in the timeline to fit inside my mask, but the result appear to be different in the timeline view respect the dashboard view.

Seems the auto-keyframe create two very narrow keyframes, not visible from the timeline even zooming at max level, when I adjust multiple times the size and position with the time cursor in the same position. More in detail seems this happen when I deselect and next reselect the layer between two changes (but without moving the cursor).

In the dashboard this mean the image is stuck in the position of the first invisible keyframe.

A solution will be to allow to disable the auto key framing so to manage it by hand.

To be honest this is very annoying, two years ago I was forced to rebuild completely my project in v1 since v2 was not working as expected, this time need to do the same v3-->v1. Just one day before the event main testing.

Hello ! I work on a project and I would like to export the whole timeline.

I had an issue with some medias, having problem of transparency, glitch on a simple shape with a mask and feather, and cut when media were on the same layers (a mini black screen).

I thought that maybe prores 4444 with alpha was not the best one for my medias, so I exported all my medias in HAP with after effects but now It takes hours to export the timeline !

What do you recommend when we need to work on media with transparency and we need an export ?

I have 6x12 khx led curtain im trying to pixel map video to from millumin but have been unsuccessful through an entec open dmx usb adapter. I followed the tutorial below, the entec was detected, and I added a shader to the canvas timeline and pressed play but this as well as everything else ive done has led to no control of the led curtain. Nothing i do in millumin has any effect on the led matrix at all. Can anyone help a noob?

We have seen the latest Mac Pro iteration.

I could throw away my equipment and buy the basic Mac Pro and keep using Millumin.(at a cost of like 10K euros)

Until Apple switches to ARM CPUs.

Please make a Windows version.

You being an apple only software is making you more and more unaffordable.

Why should I just not buy Watchout like 99% of others and keep fighting for Millumin?

I have been selling it and talking it up since version beta 1 but now I am out.

Put Millumin on Windows and you will rule.

Hi,

i would like to know if someone allready did this, but i would like for a show use a mini action cam (it has to be a really small camera, because it will be hide inside an helmet) and send wireless signal to Millumin. Have you ever try this?

Which camera would be naturally detect by millumin, or wich kind of installation did you use for manage to do something like that?

I use to ask everybody if they know a system like this but nobody knows it around me, so lets send a bottle in the sea. Thank you a lot!!

I extensively use syphons in timelines (basically I use timelines as adjustment layers for cameras) anyway, when I edit these timelines sometimes I get a still picture from the syphon (and that's ok with me, I can work with that) and sometimes I got a black feed instead. I don't understand this behaviour.

(Cameras are not the issue, if the Syphon has a movie in it, I experiment the same random behaviour.)

Hi All,
Has anyone also been imagining the possibilities? Would love to see AMD create drivers for their frame locked media wall cards which would fit in the new Mac Pro finally. I also heard mention of the Black Magic cards supporting framelock, which is one of my biggest concerns right now.

The new pro res module, 24-core option, and the dual duo gpus are all so interesting.

Btw I wonder does Millumin need to be windowed on the same graphics card as the output card in a multi card system? As is with eGPUs?

The black magic cards have many sdi outputs, but are they as capable as Milllumin requires for graphics heavy timelines?

More input and output cards need to start hitting the streets obviously, but the Mac Pro looks like a great platform.

Live camera back to screen with imperceptible delay will be an interesting day if it ever comes.

Is it possible to control the parameters of a shader with an audio input? Ideally I would like have an EQ to be able to send frequency bands of input audio to various parameters of a shader.

Hello,

I'm working on a video installation for long time use in a museum. During this work i discovered some things, which i want to share with you:

I use a new MacMini i7 and an external graphics card with a radeon vega 56.

It should be an easy to use system with very less controlling.

The video is mapped on a curved screen with 2 projectors.

At the beginning i was testing out the system and now its possible to handle 4 FullHD screens for the projections with this setup. Workspace should be disabled to run it smooth, when the millumin window is on the systems monitor - connected directly to the macMini.

My biggest problems are continuous stutter, if every output is set to 60Hz. Its not a problem of millumin. Its the same problem with other macs or software. Everything runs really smooth, except there are crazy stutter for 2 seconds every 25 seconds.

I used the stripes shader to test it and i see the FPS in the workspace output is fluctuating when the stutters appear. I think this is a major problem of the macOS system. I haven't found a solution yet.

Everything works fine if i force the output to 30Hz - no more stutters for hours. This is really strange.

I use SwitchResX for that. Also with SwitchResX you can force the monitor positions and the position of the millumin window, which is really needed with a long time installation.

To shutdown the system i use a OSC data event in one of the columns. This OSC event is received in a software called "OSCulator", which runs an AppleScript with the shutdown command.

Now i have a wish: Would it be possible to prevent the "save project" message, if the workspace is only used to play columns? Then the mac could be shutdown without the question for saving.

If somebody like to have details of such a system, i could post everything...

How do I get my canvas to start from 0x, y0 ?

For example i have 1920 x 1200 Output and the canvas is 1920 x 1152, it's cropping the top and bottom.

Hi ! Another question with a little problem with Blackmagic converter and SDI !

We want to plug an iPhone in HDMI, and then to a Blackmagic mini converter going through SDI (around 100m) to another mini converter and then to the Mac : We don't see anything ! But if we plug a converter SDI to HDMI and plug it to a screen, we see the video ! So maybe the problem comes from Millumin ? What do you think ?
