Importing SVG Masks

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to import  SVG file masks, is it possible right?
what I'm doing is not working.

here's what I do:

- I draw a simple mask with Illustrator (16 lines total)
- I save as SVG (svg 1.0)
- I create a new layer
- I put a solid color as media
- I go in the mask section, select the 3 points, import as SVG, select my mask, but nothing is happening..

What am I doing wrong?

Millumin Beta 3.19.d

Hello fellas,
Sorry I couldn't find find if there is a better place to report issues with the beta.
I know it's a transition build but I found so far :
On my 2018 MBP 15''
Screen share from an iPad or iPhone is not working, it's working on the 3.18.c
Camera input form the internal facetime webcam or from my C920 Logitech render weird colours. Again, everything's fine with the 3.18.c

Funny enough I kinda like this effect :D

OSC /ping command

It seems the /ping command for OSC only has effect if the "API/feedback" is toggled on in the OSC device manager.

It would be useful if one could /ping even when API/feedback is toggled OFF. For instance, when a control device is first connected, it could /ping to get all the current settings (or at least the ones it cares about.)

"API/Feedback" is good for debugging, but it is a lot of continuously streamed data... most of which isn't needed most of the time. /ping would allow us to determine when to refresh ALL the data.

Disable DMX layer ?

Hello

Is there a way to disable a DMX layer when i need to ? 

I'd want to be able to map colors for a light for some cues and create states for other cues .

I tried to change the DMX track opacity but it only disabled my light.

Is there by any chance a OSC command I could loop to millumin to disable it maybe?

pre cache timeline

Hi ! I would like to know if there is a way to pre cache a timeline ? I have a very simple project where I want a webcam cuts to a pre recorded video seamlessly (for a magic project ;-) ) but here the problem : when I first play the timeline in the dashboard there is a small lag on the switch, but when play it again it works perfectly. That's why I wanted to know if it was possible to get rid of that issue ?

New to Millumin - cutting up a >4K raster for transmission to a NovaStar system with no artifacts

Hi,

I'm new to Millumin and I'm trying to execute something fairly straightforward.  I have a raster that's 5760x2160 that I want to chop into [1] 4K raster and [2] HD rasters for transmission over HDMI and then re-assemble it on an LED wall into a single seamless image with no artifacts.  I need pixel-accurate Region Of Interest control and output mapping control.  Everything is perfectly rectangular and 16:9.

I'm wondering if someone can point me to the right screens to execute this.  I found output control, but couldn't find how to apply it to ROI. Is that under "slices"? 

Also are there EDID management tools in Millumin, including custom EDIDs or EDID emulation?  There are devices between the Millumin PC and ultimate display which may drop EDID.  I need to lock EDID at the source if possible.

Additionally, is there any sort of image synch option to prevent tearing.  I believe mac gpx cards have the capability for image synch, but the controls are locked down at the GUI layer.  Does Millumin have a tunnel to that control, or some sort of internal SMPTE timecode capability?

Freezing Kinect

Hi !
I want tu use the Microsoft Kinect on Mullumin 3 but as soon as I run Millumin, the kinect only works for about 20 seconds before the image freezes.

Every time I restart Millumin, unplug / plug the Kinect back in, it's the same problem
I'm using MacOs 10.14.6 (Mojave) on a MacbookPro 13") / Kinect 1473

Cuento con millumin v3 actualizado, estoy tratando de enrutar una interfaz behringer1820 pero no me salen sus canales; probé la misma interfaz en otra Mac (misma versión de millumin) y funciono. La primer computadora a la que estoy intentando configurar la interfaz es una Mac Pro (2019)

I have several versions of C4D (R21,R22 and R23), and none are working with the last version fo Millumin.
The OS is Mojave.
Is there a way to install the C4D plugin manually ?
Which version of Millumin and C4D are working together ?

Happy you finally add NDI
How many NDI could we use ? I know that depend on the server used but in terms of limit software ?
With vmix we could generate 8 Ndi for vmix calls
I would know if it would be possible to handle them in millumin ? In order to send them after on 6 outputs of a graphic card

I re-write my question. I can't find Millumin host in my app Touch OSC (used on Android) even after configuring device in Millumin. 
It seems that Millumin can't find my phone... I put the right IP adress, and the OSC server is green... Any idea ??

Hello,

I originally have an audio background so QLab has been my tool of choice for years, but I'm the first to admit that it's not the best at video playback. From everything I've read I think Millumin will be my best option for an installation project that I will be working on next year. But now I need a crash course in Millumin. My questions are:

1. Does Millumin have the option to send timecode? Or only receive it? Can one session be a master that other computers slave to?
2. Is MTC reliable over network MIDI? Or should I really be looking at LTC and feeding a separate audio line to each computer on the network?
3. Is it possible to trigger cues to start at a certain time (ie 7pm, 8pm)? Otherwise I'm happy to send OSC commands from QLab to achieve this.

Slow motion & reverse playing

Hi there,

For a coming show, I've been asked to be able to do at a certain time slow motion and reverse playing on an incoming video input stream from a camera on stage.
I guess, the process needs to write the video stream on my hard drive, and when I decide, ask Millumin to switch from the live input video to the recorded media to be able to read the file slowlier (still while recording the stream), or to read it reversely.

Did anyone already had to do that, and what can be the tip for that.

(PS: sorry if this question has already been asked, I didn't find the concerning topic)

NDI Output stuttering

Hey,
I've just bought a TriCaster from NewTek and I'm trying to connect Millumin via NDI so I can playback Videos with Alpha via NDI.
Connection works very well but all videos I am trying to playback are stuttering. Sometimes they are smooth ... than stuttering again at the exact same position.
My TriCaster Project and the Videos are 50fps.
I also did not find a way to change the frame rate for the NDI Output. But I'm not sure how exactly NDI is working with frame rates.
Any thoughts?

I'm connected with a NetGear M4250 Switch with 10 GbE Uplink to the TriCaster and just my Laptop directly connected to a 1 GbE Port. So I think bandwidth cannot be the problem.

It would be so great to playback videos with alpha via NDI. Would make so many things that much easier!

PS: The stuttering is the same when just playing back Videos without the Alpha Channel.

in "create a light show" training, there is a possibility to create a circuit to handle different lights as one. But I don't see the "circuit" column in the monitor screen...
