2 Orizontal VP + 1 Vertical VP config.

Hi everyone,

hope this topic hasn't been already discussed.

I would like to stream a continuous image onto 2 horizontal VP (with soft edge) and 1 vertical VP (without soft edge).

is it possibile to do it in the output tab?

Replacing missing Audio interface and muted audio

I just purchased Millium and I'm super happy! 

I'm programming a show with my main audio interface (Focusrite Clarett). Often I need to open it "offline" away from my main setup (e.g. I a hotel room) with my interface disconnected. I then get the "Missing audio interface" prompt when opening the program and I'm asked to choose another interface to replace it. I then choose my internal Mac speakers. I continue building my show with Clarett offline. Since I have saved two different audio layouts (one for the main L/R audio and one for a click track on ch3 holding multiple media files) it's easy enough to replace the audio interface with my Clarett on those two layouts when reopening the program and all the corresponding media swaps to Clarett. All the audio plays back fine from the columns just holding a media file - but any column with an embedded timeline are muted until I open each of the corresponding timelines. Is this a bug? Is there a global overview where I can manually route all of my audio clips to the proper interfaces any time? In the Audio Layout setting I can see the other files sharing the layout, but it would be super nice to have a faster way of getting to all media files and their routing.

Iphone camera live in Millumin?

I would like to use the videocamera of an Iphone on live and play it with Millumin on stage.
Has someone tried it before?
Should I use syphon?

Scale media

Hi guys,

Might be an idea to be able to scale/position the media as well, not just the layer.
So this way i can keep my timeline clear.

Imagine you have 15 media and they are all different size, i need 15 layers so my timeline it's not clear and visible anymore.

Auto Go Specific column missing?

Hi everyone,

There use to be an "auto go to specific column" function in the loop mode, but now it's missing. Did Millumin remove this function or it's moved to somewhere? or there's some setting I'm missing?

Using Millumin v3 here.

$(millumin:remainingTime) + Companion

Hi guys,

Just checking if anyone has had success with Companion and the dynamic variable of "$(millumin:remainingTime)" being returned. I can get the "$(millumin:currentColumn)" value returned, but says "undefined" with the remainingTime variable.

Running the latest version of Companion companion-2.0.0-a16e1a2-2236. on OSX.

Any help would be appreciated.

Multiple inverted masks on single layer

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to have 4 rectangular shaped and inverted masks onto a single layer. Is that possible?

What I need to do is to have 4 rectangular areas in my canvas where I do not want to have any projection.
What I did is: 

- I created a layer on top of the one of the content
- I put a black color card as media
- I created the 4 rectangular masks in the desired places
- I try to invert the masks but If I invert only one of the 4 it works as expected, but I cannot invert more than one.

What am I doing wrong?

Projection on rounded surface

Hi everyone,

is there a way to adjust the geometry for a video projection onto a rounded surface?

What I'm trying to do is to project on the face of a rounded tower, and I would like the beam to react accordingly to the non-flat surface..

I have looked for a way to modify a layer from another computer, I have managed to synchronize as a backup with chataigne. On this occasion I would like to know if there is a way to synchronize two computers where I can modify a layer from one and affect the second team.

Which one would be lighter on my computer,
 making 2canvases or making 2displays on 1canvases?

PJlink problems

Hello!
 Faced the problem of transmitting PJlink command to Epson L1755U projector. The connection to the projector is OK. From the right side  bare, commands are sent without problems, but I cannot transfer the command from the dashboard or timeline. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. How should the PJlink command be correctly formatted into the dashboard?

Infrared GigE Vision

Hi,

I've purchased this device + suitable lens, accessories and stage props with the correct light source to be captured by this camera sensor (940nm), what's left is to make it work natively in MacOS and of course to get the video feed into Millumin. 


I'm lost, like really lost, it was more complicated than I originally thought and I'm now trying to learn GitHub, code reading/writing, compiling, xcode, home-brew bla bla and etc etc but with no success, I'm lost, really lost...  :( 

Is there a way for a not so computer literate person like myself to get this working with Millumin? Any advice/help/instructions are more than welcome.

[SOLVED] several interactions in a same control

Hello,
I'm trying to use one input for several interactions.
When you have only one input, it's simple you click again on a parameter and the same control is created.
But when you have several inputs it's just impossible to do this.
Anyone has an idea ?

Hello,
In Millumin 3 when I change Opacity keyframe the volume of the layer and /or the media is changing also.
How can I do to not change the volume when opacity is changing (in timeline)

MacPro 2019 Frame sync outputs

Hi!
As my Mac Pro 6.1 seems to be dying Im thinking of buying the new one...
Here comes the question... Does anyone know if the video outputs on these machines will be in perfect sync considering the fact of using MPX module so routing the video outputs to thunderbolt3 ports all over the machine?
On the other hand has anyone tested the 2019  Mac Pro with millumin?
Any info will be appreciated as I don't want to make the same mistake I did choosing the trash can.

In INTERACTION, i select my midi note and search in toogle/linear/switch, but i'm search to:
start at eachtime i play and touch my midinotepad send the beginning of my video_loop_layer ??

I don't find how i can do this...
can you help me please ...

Vertical soft edge + Canvas size = Confusion

I'm trying to convert a mapping project from another mapping tool to Millumin. I've run this project many times in the other software, and it works really well there, but I want to add some new features that Millumin can provide.

The project uses a pair of vertically-stacked 1920x1080 projectors with a 240 pixel soft-edge overlap. This allows my "full screen" graphics and animations to be produced at 1920x1920

With this setup, I expected the canvas to be 1920x1920 and to fill the output area. When I go back to the main screen, I see this -

Which, unfortunately I don't understand. It doesn't show an overlap, it shows a grayed-out area at the bottom. When I add media that is produced at 1920x1920, it lands in the wrong area... 120px too low.

Do I need to correct for this with layer adjustments, or the creation of a 1920x1920 "surface"?

I haven't yet connected the actual projectors, I'm just trying to get past this pre-production phase to see if this project is viable with Millumin.

So what the heck is happening? Is this how it is supposed to work?

Audio From a Magewell 2nd gen capture device

I have a small show coming up in a couple of weeks that is a single camera setup. I am using a magewell 2nd gen capture dongle and need to use Millumin (V3) as a switcher between the camera and video rolls.  It's a no budget benefit.

It does not appear that the audio is making it to Millumin from the camera. There is no radio button for "render audio" in either the dashboard or timeline.  It is like it is an MOS media element.

I checked in quicktime and the sound makes it there perfectly.

I am sure there is just a knob that I haven't turned yet but I feel like I have run out of options. Any help will be appreciated.

Control Millumin Mediaserver from an other Mac in the same network

Hi everyone,

is it possible to run Millumin on a Macbook and stream the outputs through an other machine in the same Lan running Millumin as well? 

I would like to have my monitor control on a separate machine (my macbook pro) and use all the six media server outputs for the projectors..
